The UCSD waterski team hosted the Dustin Newell Memorial Oktoberfest last weekend. It is a tournament dedicated to Dustin Newell who died during one one of our tournaments over 5 years ago. He was a great skier and a really nice guy.

Captain Kelsie Brooks ran the tournament and it went really well, everyone putting in there part to making sure that it went smoothly. New freshman Emily Shaffer did an awesome job, not just in skiing, but in helping with the tournament, along with Wesley Swords, Austyn Lorenz, Natalie Fernande, KJ Jensen, Rachel Smallwood, Brittany Lyng, Hannah Brock, and Ben Halpern.

Overall the team placed 4th and are sad that the season has ended.
