Men's Rugby Finishes Off a Disappointing Season
Wednesday, March 11, 2009 UCSD Men's Rugby traveled a short ways to USD Saturday to play their last league match against the Torreros. The Tritons came out fired up and played an intense first ten minutes of strong defense. In spite of this early surge an absence of leadership in the forward pack (due to injuries to Captain and Hooker Matt Ravalin and starting Lock and jumper Pat Guiney) lead to a defensive breakdown that would last most of the rest of the game. The Triton's would eventually fall 60-10 in a disappointing last match of the season.More Headlines: Feb 24 - Men's Rugby Falls to Claremont Feb 14 - Men's Rugby Falls to ASU in Rainy Conditions Feb 2 - Men's Rugby Folds After a Strong First Half to Pepperdine There are no more headlines. ![]() |
