Team Overview
The UCSD Women's Lacrosse team is a competitive team that plays other sports club teams ranging from UC Davis and Chico State up in NorCal, to UCSB and UCLA, to the University of Arizona and ASU, and more. We are a member of the WWLL and the WDIA, and regularly compete in tournaments against other teams that are part of those leagues. We routinely make playoffs, as well as place first or second in our division (SDSU, USD, ASU, U of A). Many girls have joined the team with no lacrosse experience and gone on to have four amazing years as part of the UCSD Women's Lacrosse team, so don't worry if you don't know how the sport goes - we'll teach you. We have two teams - an "A" team for more experienced players, and a "B" team which consists of players with some experience as well as new girls. We are lucky enough to have amazingly talented and dedicated coaches for both teams, as well as a large group of returning players. We have four weeks of Fall Ball practices during the fall quarter that are hugely helpful for both new and returning girls. Our season officially begins in January, and a week of tryouts that determines who is on A and B team will take place the first week of Winter Quarter.
