Looking for a new sport at UCSD? Are you a seasoned pro looking to sharpen your skills even further? Want to just get some exercise and have a fun at the same time? UCSD has you covered with the extensive Collegiate Sports Club Program.
Our teams compete nationally with other colleges and universities, often coming back with titles and trophies. All UCSD students are eligible to join a team, regardless of skill level. Teams are student-organized and funded, so the success of the team is largely dependant upon the dedication of people like yourself.
If you would like to learn more about the program, please visit the Sports Clubs' General Information page, or learn more about individual teams by visiting their respective pages.

First off, contact the captain of the team you're interested in for more information - they will be more than willing to answer all of your questions about the team. Some teams will require you to try-out at the start of the year. You can find information about the tryouts on the individual team pages on this website. Prior to try-outs all athletes must complete and sign the Sports Clubs waiver, which will be made available to you at the try-out. After acceptance to the team, all athletes will be required to complete all pages of the Sports Clubs Online Management system, including insurance information. Players participating in Men's Rugby, Women's Rugby, Men's Lacrosse, and Ice Hockey will also require a physical before they can be cleared to play. Although Sports Clubs are funded by the school, you may have to pay additional dues, which varies with every team. Talk to your team captain about their individual policies. Other than that, make sure you attend practices and play your hardest. Good luck in your long and prosperous Sports Clubs career! |
