Back in 1978, there was a great idea to start renting out camping equipment. 30 years later, we’ve expanded from the original closet in the Rec Gym to our current location: the tree house down in the canyon. Our current programming includes:

  1. Rental/Retail Shop (since 1996)

  2. Outings (since 1980)

  3. Wilderness Orientation (since 1991)

  4. Climbing Center (since 1996)

  5. Challenge Course (since 2004)


The mission of Outback Adventures is to provide opportunities for challenge, leadership and environmental responsibility through adventure experiences. We achieve this mission by incorporating our Core Values of Community, Leadership, Environment and Challenge into our program curriculum, structure, and delivery. Each Core Value is developed in the following ways:
