GENESIZZLE, FIJI LOOKING TO CLIMB THE CAMPUS FOOTBALL MOUNTAINTOP. Men's AAA Championship Game Goes This Saturday At 1pm.
There are plenty of good football games still to be played this season, but none may be bigger or better than the Genesizzle-Fiji scrap on Saturday afternoon.
It's the battle of the big boys, the Men's AAA division championship, the winner-take-all-the-glory game that everyone that plays this sport would love to be in.
And inside the cones, the two teams that will put their pass-and-catch skills to the test will be coming off a pair of stretch runs that only a Charger fan could appreciate.
Fiji and Genesizzle are teams both pushing the hot button like no one else around.
Take Fiji. Underappreciated third rate cousins to their IFC football brethren, Pike, Sigma Chi, or pick-a-frat, any frat. No one, and we mean no one, had Fiji ticketed for anything beyond a playoff berth in this year's championships. They had one-and-done written all over themselves.
But after two thrilling one-point beat downs of Pike (19-18) and Sigma Chi (14-13), the boys from Fiji are flying high on campus. No matter who they play from now on they will be one tough out.
Take Genesizzle. Now this team is hot. Even their name suggests it. So does their team speed which is off the charts. And then there is the arm of their quarterback "Cork." Uuh, is he related to anyone named Brees, Brady, or Ben's last name? If not, he should be.
The 'Sizzle beat up two playoff opponents of their own by the same score, mind you. 26-20 over Sigma Nu (best buddies of Fiji) and season long No. 1, the here-to-fore unbeatable Juggernauts. Now that's an impressive daily double in any league.
Could this be a game for the ages? We certainly hope so. We are overdue for one of those and there's no better time than the present. See 'ya all there.

RUN TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP STARTS SATURDAY FOR INDOOR SOCCER POWER TEAMS! Final Fours In Three Different Divisions Kick-In This Weekend.
Time for the bloodletting to begin.
Huh? We're talking Coed Indoor Soccer semifinals, everybody. Not for the faint of heart. No way. It's competition at its best and its right here on our campus. Believe that or not.
The 2009 Coed Indoor Soccer championships play to conclusion this Saturday, Sunday, and yes in one instance, Monday night.
We have nothing but the best left. Four stellar survivors in each of three divisions: Coed AA, Coed A Gold, Coed A White.
Only one team (FC Guadalajara) is still unbeaten, untied on the season. Most every team that is left has been had some where along the line, but also has played well enough to get to this point.
So, let the games begin. Right? And who will come out on top? Who knows. It'll be a prognosticators nightmare for sure.
Coed AA Indoor Soccer I Don't Know (5-1) vs. Team Legit (4-2) FIFA Certified (5-1) vs. Team Tackey (4-0-1)
Coed A Gold Indoor Soccer FC SAC (4-1-1) vs. Weasels (5-1) FC Guadalajara (6-0) vs. Multiple Scorgasms (5-1)
Coed A White Indoor Soccer Eric Olah and Friends (3-2) vs. Purple Anchor (2-2-1)-CBFC (4-1) winner Back That Pass Up (3-1-1) vs. Supersonics (3-3)
